About Me

Derval Ingleton

After many years in a high-stress business environment that does nothing for your health, I decided to take my life in a different direction.

My first exposure to reflexology was with a therapist who offered me reflexology instead of a massage. I found that the reflexology was powerful and deeply relaxing therapy that helped me to feel more myself. It wasn’t long before I would choose reflexology over massage.

I received my initial reflexology qualification from the International Institute of Reflexologists (IIR) over two years with what is now referred to as ‘level 5’ qualification (the highest reflexology qualification). This trained me to work with clients from all walks of life with no exceptions – from IVF and pregnancy to cancer and palliative care.

I went on to study Tony Porter’s ART® (Advanced Reflexology Techniques), Tony Porter has been active in reflexology since the early 1970s. His technique is an ‘evolvement’ of the original reflexology concept which I have found to have a more profound effect.

In 2018 I was trained with Sally Kay in RLD® (Reflexology Lymphatic Drainage) . RLD is a gentle sequence of reflexology movements originally devised to help people living with lymphoedema and lipoedema.  It is also beneficial for those living with an inflammatory condition and to give the lymphatic system a gentle boost.

What I enjoy most about my practice is working with clients to help them to take responsibility for their own health and well-being. It is a pleasure to see my clients thrive as they learn to rebalance and to enjoy improving health.

I work as a volunteer reflexologist at the local hospice once a week which I love, as it is an opportunity to help some amazing people to live better with chronic illness and I am always fascinated to witness the difference that reflexology can make to their health and vitality.

I am originally from Ireland, I lived for 11 years in the Netherlands and returned to Tunbridge Wells in the summer of 2017 where I now practice.

Stress is a factor in 70% of modern illness. Reflexology provides a wonderful way to de-stress, relax and unwind.
